An experience designed for everyone
Every Wednesday, ToroVerde Urban Park at Distrito T-Mobile offers a Sensory-Friendly experience specially designed for people with sensory sensitivities, including individuals on the autism spectrum, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and other related conditions.
During this day, the facilities operate with specific adjustments to create a more comfortable and accessible environment, allowing more people to enjoy the attractions in a setting adapted to their needs.
What does Sensory-Friendly mean?
A Sensory-Friendly experience incorporates adjustments to the environment to reduce stimuli that may feel overwhelming for some people, promoting a more comfortable and accessible experience.
Adjustments include:
Reduced music volume
Adjusted lighting and visual effects where applicable
More predictable and calmer environments
Staff trained in supportive and inclusive practices
Spaces designed to promote a more comfortable experience for all visitors
Our goal is for every person to enjoy a positive, fun, and accessible recreational experience with their family.
The adjustments implemented in this initiative were developed following recommendations from professionals and specialists experienced in accessibility, inclusion, and sensory needs.
As part of this effort, different aspects of the visitor experience were evaluated to identify opportunities to reduce possible sensory overload and promote a more comfortable participation for everyone.
This initiative is part of Toro Verde Urban Park's commitment to inclusion and to creating accessible recreational spaces for the community.
